Bitcoin in the Wild is an independent, mission-driven initiative using Bitcoin to support wildlife conservation, environmental education, and community-based projects across Africa.
We collaborate with local organisations and community-led initiatives to help direct support toward projects focused on wildlife protection, education, and environmental impact.
In addition to funding projects, we also advocate for the practical use of Bitcoin and open financial tools within conservation and community development contexts.
All Bitcoin contributions are received directly into self-custodial wallets controlled by our team and are used to support the long-term activities of this private initiative.
Funds are held and managed collectively by the initiative and allocated over time in alignment with our mission to support conservation and community-based projects. Allocation decisions are made internally by the team based on project needs, impact priorities, and available resources.
