Our Donation Policy

To actively support South African non-profits in their transition toward Bitcoin, all Bitcoin donations are accepted by our organisation and held in our self-custody wallet. We determine, in line with our mission and governance framework, which projects or partners are supported and when funds are allocated. We do not hold bitcoin or any other crypto-assets on behalf of third parties.

  • When partner organisations are able to receive Bitcoin directly, support may be provided in Bitcoin to their designated wallets.
  • Where partners are not operationally ready to receive Bitcoin, allocation decisions are made at a later stage in accordance with our governance framework and aligned with our mission.

Bitcoin contributes not only to the effectiveness of wildlife and nature conservation efforts but also to the overall safety and well-being of the dedicated individuals working in challenging and dangerous environments.
